PARISIEN CAFÉ 

3715  The painted trellis decoration to walls, arch and top, with nineteen semi-circular reeded panels, painted wood fern holders as fitted, with zinc liners, four painted metal radiator covers with marble tops, and the pierced brass pipe casing as fitted at deck level, the painted and trellis decorated cocktail bar with return ends, a mahogany hand rail and two brass foot rails, 11 ft. 6 by 7 ft. 6 by 16 in., with inlaid composition top, nine ditto panels at deck level, fitted door, wash-up sink, with tap, shelves, bottle racks and cupboards, overall measurements, 74 ft. by 16 ft. by 8 ft. high 

 

FIRST CLASS RECEPTION ROOM 

3716  The painted mahogany panelling to walls, with floral decoration in relief, and four semi-circular fern holders with zinc liners, fitted a pair of oak and glazed doors to landing with heavy brass fittings and brass deck springs, and mirror panels at sides, a glazed mahogany door to cocktail bar, with ormolu fittings, also the brass pipe coverings where fitted at deck levels, and the panelled and painted ceiling, overall measurements, 26 ft. by 17 ft. by 8 ft. high 

3717  The parquet pattern floor covering as planned, about 26 ft. by 17 ft. 

 

FIRST CLASS RESTAURANT. 

3718  THE MAGNIFICENT FRENCH WALNUT AND CARVED GILT PANELLING, with leaf and ribbon ornamentation, carved, reeded and ribbon pillar casings with gilt capitals and reeded, panelled and gilt casings to cross members, the panelling includes the transverse partitions with oval openings two of which are glazed, and the walls have numerous arched-top nine-mirror panels, on the Port side are fitted nine nine-panelled unglazed window frames, leading to the kitchen there is a pair of mirror panelled arched-top doors with ormolu fittings on the lift side of which is an enclosure, measuring 4 ft. 9 by 6 ft. by 4 ft. 9, with door with oval glazed panel, slope-top desk with two drawers and numerous pigeon holes, on the right of doors to kitchen is a carved and panelled return ends counter en suite, fitted numerous drawers with ormolu fittings and panelled door, having veined marble top, measuring about 23 ft. by 6 ft. On the Starboard side of room is an arch to Reception Room, with glazed panels at sides, and erection of folding glazed four-panelled revolving doors, with brass fittings, patent draught excluders, and the mahogany surrounds, a pair of curved, glazed sliding doors to cocktail bar, with ormolu mounts, and the ornamental metal window frames facing cocktail bar (excluding the outside glazed window frames), also pierced brass pipe casing where fitted at deck level, and the painted panelled ceiling, with floral and ribbon decoration in relief, overall measurement 74 ft. by 48 ft. by 8 ft. 

 

SMOKE ROOM (TOURIST). 

3719  The oak panelling throughout with carved leaf, ribbon and scroll enrichments, the egg and tongue mouldings to windows including the glazed window frames and panels to borrowed lights, two doors with glazed upper panels, ornamental wrought iron grilles, brass fittings and springs deck plates, the erection forming alcove with cupboards on either side, fitted glass racks and enclosed by a pair of glazed and a pair of panelled doors, with wrought iron grilles over and having three leather covered settees with loose sprung seats in centre, the fitments of two corner settees in leather with four loose sprung seats, the partitioning forming Gentlemen’s Toilet, with door and brass fittings, and having erection of fitted buffets with three drawers and three cupboards attached, 6 ft. wide, and the somewhat similar partitioning forming Pantry, with door in two section and buffet as before, together with the casing to cross members at top, and the reeded casings to columns, also the pierced brass pipe casing where fitted at deck level, and the painted panelling to ceiling, overall measurements, 63 ft. by 34 ft. by 8 ft. high

3720  The cream enamelled panelling forming Cabins Nos. B11, B9, B15 and Bath Room, including interior partitions, eight hung doors, with mortice locks, mahogany finger plates, plated furniture and spring cabin hooks, painted panelled ceilings, and ivorine electric switches, Plan size 21 ft. 3 by 20 ft. 10, 8 ft. high.
